Stress Management for Yoga Teachers
Stress Management for Yoga Teachers is a 7-day intensive program based on classical Yoga teachings, designed to provide participants with practical tools and a deeper understanding of stress management from a yogic perspective.
Rooted in traditional Yoga philosophy and practices, the course explores the nature of stress from both physiological and psychological perspectives while offering practical methods to support balance, resilience, and overall well-being.
Through study, practice, and training in teaching methodology, participants learn how to support themselves and their students in developing healthy coping mechanisms and integrating Yoga practices into daily life. The training is guided by Swami Sitaramananda.

Curriculum
This training gives teachers a broad Yogic framework for stress management, including philosophy, physiology, lifestyle, breathwork, relaxation, meditation, nutrition, and teaching methodology.

- Understand the interaction between the physical, astral, and causal bodies, and their role in stress.
✨ Teaching the Five Points of Yoga
- Learn how to guide students in adopting a Yogic lifestyle for overall well-being.
✨ Physiology of Stress
- Study how stress affects the body and its systems from a scientific perspective.
✨ Causes of Stress in Yoga Philosophy
- Explore the five root causes of stress according to Yogic teachings.
✨ Understanding the Mind
- Learn how the mind functions and how to work with it to reduce stress.
✨ Asana & Restorative Practices
- Learn how to teach Yoga postures and restorative poses to relieve tension and promote relaxation.
✨ Stress Symptoms in the Body
- Identify how stress manifests across the nine systems of the body.
✨ Prana and Lifestyle
- Understand the role of life force energy and lifestyle choices in managing stress.
✨ The Three Gunas
- Study Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas and how to balance them to reduce stress.
✨ Pranayama & Breathwork
- Learn how to teach breathing techniques to regulate energy and calm the mind.
✨ Positive Thinking, Yamas & Niyamas
- Apply Yogic ethics and positive thinking techniques to reduce stress.
✨ Deep Relaxation & Pratyahara
- Practice conscious relaxation and withdrawal of the senses to restore inner calm.
✨ Meditation, Mantra & Kirtan
- Experience practices that soothe the mind and uplift the spirit.
✨ Four Paths of Yoga
- Integrate Karma, Bhakti, Raja, and Jnana Yoga into daily life for stress management.
✨ Karma & Stress
- Understand how actions and past impressions influence stress and how to work with them.
✨ Diet & Ojas
- Learn about Yogic nutrition, building Ojas for vitality and immunity, and preparing vegetarian meals that support relaxation and purification.
✨ Self-Inquiry & Affirmation
- Practice techniques to develop self-awareness and transform negative patterns.
✨ Self-Awareness & Existential Anxiety
- Explore deeper layers of awareness to overcome inner anxiety.
✨ Yoga of Relationships
- Understand relationships from a Yogic perspective and reduce stress through awareness.
✨ Bhakti Yoga & Nonviolent Communication
- Learn the nine steps of Bhakti Yoga and principles of conscious communication.
✨ Daily Practices for Recovery
- Establish routines to restore balance and recover from stress.
✨ Prana – Tejas – Ojas
- Understand the subtle energies that support vitality, clarity, and resilience.
✨ Integration of Yoga & Ayurveda
- Explore how these two sciences work together for holistic health.

Important Note
- Open to teachers who have:
- Completed 200-hour TTC at Sivananda Yoga, or
- Graduated from or are currently studying in SYHET 800h
