Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Course (ATTC)

The Sivananda Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Course is a four-week immersion for dedicated students of yoga who wish to deepen their sadhana and spiritual life through intensive study and practice. This 500-hour certification program offers graduates of the Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course the opportunity to take their knowledge, teaching, and personal practice to deeper levels while cultivating a more profound understanding of yogic living.

The course includes in-depth study of Vedanta philosophy and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali Maharishi; daily practice of advanced hatha yoga techniques, including asana variations and advanced pranayama; exploration of Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga; study of the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system; and an introduction to the Sanskrit language.

Together with the 200-hour Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course, the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Course is officially recognized by the Yoga Alliance as meeting the 500-hour standard for Registered Yoga Schools (RYS). Upon successful completion, graduates receive the title of Yoga Acharya from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres.

The Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Course curriculum is designed to deepen and expand your understanding of yoga through advanced asana training, extended pranayama, in-depth study of Vedanta and Raja Yoga, Sanskrit writing and mantra pronunciation, and detailed anatomy and physiology. The course also explores Bhakti Yoga and Karma Yoga, cultivating a holistic understanding of yoga as a path of disciplined practice, mental clarity, selfless service, and spiritual growth.
