Meditation for Yoga Teachers

This seven-day intensive training is designed for TTC graduates who wish to deepen their personal meditation practice and develop the skills needed to guide others in meditation.

Rooted in the teachings of the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta tradition, the course draws from the lineage of Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnudevananda and is taught by Swami Sitaramananda.

The training supports participants in developing a steady and consistent meditation practice while cultivating the clarity, stability, and practical understanding needed to guide others in meditation.

Curriculum

Students deepen personal practice while learning practical tools to guide a basic meditation course with clarity and confidence.

Meditation & The Mind

  • Understand how the mind functions and learn techniques to observe and manage thoughts during meditation.

Pranayama & Energy

  • Explore how breathwork supports deeper meditation by regulating energy and calming the mind.

Asana for Meditation

  • Learn how to prepare the body through appropriate postures to support a stable and comfortable meditation practice.

Bhakti & Karma Yoga in Meditation

  • Discover how to integrate meditation into daily life through devotion and selfless service.

Sivananda Lineage

  • Receive teachings rooted in an authentic spiritual lineage, transmitted directly from an experienced teacher.

Group Teaching Practice

  • Practice guiding meditation sessions and teaching key concepts in small groups, building confidence and clarity.

Outcomes

  • ✨ Deepen Personal Practice: Develop a stable, consistent, and deeper meditation practice.
  • ✨ Confidence in Teaching: Gain the knowledge and practical tools to confidently guide a basic meditation course (5–8 sessions).

Important Note

  • Open to teachers who have:
  • Completed 200-hour TTC at Sivananda Yoga, or
  • Graduated from or are currently studying in SYHET 800h

  • Time for silence, reflection, and personal practice within the peaceful forest environment of the ashram
