Yoga for Back Pain Wellness

Sivananda Yoga Health Education Camps and Intensives offer training in the 5 Points of Yoga Life and their application to specific health conditions. Sivananda Yoga Health Educators will give you a free Yoga health assessment before the program.

Work with holistic health practitioners who understand the holistic approach to health and healing. Yoga Health Education Camps and Intensives are there for all to educate themselves and to help loved-ones in the prevention of disease.

Experience for yourself the benefits of a daily combination of these time-tested Yoga techniques and get back your positive health. Discover to what extent health is in your hands and in the hands of Mother Nature.

Mantras and the Mind
Pain seems to be conscious and cognitive. Persisting pain is related to changes in the physical body and neuroplastic changes in the nervous system. The “danger button” is constantly activated. Pain changes us in many ways. There are equally many ways to change it back. Develop skills to keep your body, breath and mind calm. Put some evidence-based pain self-care processes in your pain care toolkit. There is hope for finding more peace and ease.

6:00am – meditation, chanting and lecture
8:00am – Stress Management Yoga Class
10:00am – Vegetarian Brunch
11:00am – Karma Yoga (selfless service)
02:00pm – Stress Management Workshop
04:00pm – All Levels Open Yoga Class
06:00pm – Vegetarian Dinner
07:30pm – meditation, chanting and lecture

Come any time of the year for a yoga vacation.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival: Check-in time is between 12:00 – 2:00pm Monday.  Please do not arrive any later than 7:00 pm.

Departure: The course will finish at 12:00pm Friday.  Please check-out of your room by 12:00pm.

What to Bring


In-door slippers, loose comfortable clothes, notebooks, meditation shawl or blanket, yoga mat, flashlight.
