Yoga and Meditation
This retreat will introduce you to the basics of classical yoga meditation, and is intended for those wanting to begin a regular meditation practice. In addition to daily workshops on the theory and practice of meditation you will participate in two Yoga classes each day. Morning and evening satsang, with the practice of “kirtan” or chanting will give further opportunities for practice and learning. Topics of workshops will include:
- Why meditate?
- Techniques of meditation according to Swami Vishnudevananda
- The mechanics of the mind
- Mantra meditation techniques

Come any time of the year for a yoga vacation.
Arrival and Departure
Arrival: Check-in time is between 12:00 – 4:00pm Monday. Please do not arrive any later than 7:00 pm. We recommend that you check-in early to join the workshop at 4:00pm.
Departure: The course will finish at 2:00pm on Friday. Please check-out of your room by 12:00pm. Please stay on for your final workshop before departing.
What to Bring
In-door slippers, loose comfortable clothes, notebooks, meditation shawl or blanket, yoga mat, flashlight.
All books and materials are available in our boutique.
