Description

This Vietnam Annual Health Symposium will focus on Yoga for Vitality and Stress Resilience.  We will offer workshops and yoga classes with expert teachers with years of teaching experience.

Pranayama & Asana to remove Stress – Swami Adiparashaktiananda
By moving the body and deep breathing we are able to remove blockages to the energy in the body and when the energy flows the mind comes to a state of peace and clarity, automatically removing stress from the mind.

Causes and physiology of stress syndrome – Swami Sitaramananda
This workshop will look at the 5 main causes of stress according to yoga philosophy and give you the practical tools to handle the stress. Stress has been the underlying cause of most diseases. Understand the deeper causes of stress, the symptoms of stress, and how to alleviate daily life stress through yogic practices and a change of perspective and attitude about oneself, others, and life.

Effect of negative long-term chronic stress on the digestive and nervous systems – Dr. Sharma
Understand the anatomy and physiology of the digestive and nervous systems and the effect of stress on those systems and learn practical tools to improve.

Gentle and adapted yoga class – Shakti Chaitanya

Teacher Bios

Swami Sitaramananda is a senior Acharya of the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers and is director of the Sivananda Ashram Vedanta Yoga Farm, California, and the Sivananda Yoga Resort and Training Center, Vietnam. She is an Acharya of China, Taiwan, and Japan as well. Swamiji is the organizer and teacher of the Sivananda Yoga Health Educator Training (SYHET) program, an 800-hour program on yoga therapy, accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).

Swami Sitaramananda is the author of “Essentials of Yoga Practice and Philosophy” (translated into Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Russian), “Positive Thinking Manual”, “Karma Yoga Manual”, “Meditation Manual”, “Swamiji Said, a collection of teachings by Swami Vishnu” in His Own Words. She is responsible for the Vietnamese translation of “Completed Illustrated Book of Yoga” (CIBY) and “Meditation & Mantras” by Swami Vishnu. Many of her video & audio lectures on Yoga life, philosophy, and psychology as well as articles and webinars can be found on this website.

Swami Sita is an ardent supporter of the integration of the Vedic sciences such as Vastu, Jyotish, Ayurveda, Yoga, and Vedanta. She is an international teacher of the Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Courses and Advanced Yoga teachers’ Training courses, as well as Meditation and Vedanta & Silence Courses both in Sivananda Ashrams in Vietnam and in Grass Valley, CA.

Dr. Ghanshyam Sharma, Ayurveda Physician, C-IAYT is an Ayurveda doctor practicing at Ayush Clinic in Kandivali West, Mumbai. He completed BAMS from K. G. Mittal Ayurvedic College, Mumbai in 1989 and MD – Ayurveda Medicine from K. G. Mittal Ayurvedic College, Mumbai in 1993. He is certified C-IAYT and shares his Ayurveda and Yoga knowledge addressing many health conditions SYHET students will face in their practice.

 

Dr. Jayanthy

 

 

 

Swami Narayanananda, who was born in London, England, has been a teacher of Yoga and meditation in the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers since 1999. He has served in the ashrams in California and New York, and also as director of the centers in New York and Chicago. He is a regular teacher for our Teacher Training and Advanced Teacher training courses in the USA, India, and Vietnam. Swami Narayanananda has a compassionate and accessible teaching style firmly based on his own practice and in the study of scripture.

 

Swami Pranavananda hails from the USA and has been a Yoga and Meditation teacher since 1995 in the US and abroad.  He teaches mainly the Hatha Yoga and Anatomy sections for the TTC courses.  He was the director of the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers in Los Angeles, CA, and San Francisco, CA for a few years.  Currently, he is serving in Vietnam teaching at the Hochiminh center.  He enjoys taking classes to learn Vietnamese.

 

Swami Dharmananda is the assistant director of the Yoga Farm and is in charge of the Karma Yoga program. He is a faculty of the Sivananda Institute of Health (SIHY) and is one of the main teachers of Yoga Philosophy and Meditation at the Ashram. He took sannyasa vows in 2013 and is keenly interested in yoga psychology and philosophy, presenting the classical teaching in a practical and accessible way to people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Swami Adi Parashaktiananda is a dedicated Sadhak and an experienced international Sivananda Hatha Yoga teacher and trainer in international TTC in the USA, Vietnam, Japan, and China for more than twelve years. He mainly serves as assistant to Acharya Swami Sitaramananda at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm in Grass Valley California and at the Sivananda Ashram in Vietnam. He took the first monastic vow from the Sivananda lineage in 2011 and became a sannyasin in 2017. He teaches a 7-day Hatha Yoga Sadhana course and the 14-day Sivananda Sadhana Intensive course, whose emphasis is on individual sadhana. His teaching is classical and brought peace and clarity to many.

Saraswati graduated from the International Sivananda Yoga teacher training course in 2010 in Vietnam. She is also a graduate of the “Yoga Psychology”, “Ayurveda and Yoga Wellness” course, and “Ayurvedic massage therapist”. She took the ATTC in 2015 in California and was staffed at Sivananda Yoga Vedanta center in Ho Chi Minh from 2010 – 2013.   In 2014 she assumed the responsibility of directing the Sivananda Yoga Centre in Dalat City and in 2017 she is assistant director of the new Sivananda Ashram in Dalat.  She graduated from the SYHET program in 2020 and is a certified IAYT. She enjoys teaching beginner courses and yoga for kids along with ayurveda and healing and yantra painting.

Daya Chaitanya graduated from the International Sivananda Yoga teacher training course in 2016 in Vietnam. She is also graduate from the ATTC in 2021.  She was the staff at Sivananda Yoga Vedanta center in Ho Chi Minh from 2016 – 2021.   In 2022 she assumed the responsibility of karma yoga manager at the new Sivananda Ashram in Dalat.  She graduated from the SYHET program in 2020 and is a certified IAYT.  She enjoys teaching beginner courses, meditation, and kirtan.

 

Shakti Chaitanya graduated from the International Sivananda Yoga teacher training course in 2015 in Vietnam. She is also a graduate of the ATTC in 2020.  She is the manager of the Sivananda Ashram in Dalat since 2017.   Now she is the director of the Sivananda Yoga Health House. She graduated from the SYHET program in 2020 and is a certified IAYT.  She enjoys gardening, teaching beginner courses, meditation, and kirtan.

Priya Chaitanya graduated from the International Sivananda Yoga teacher training course in 2016 in Vietnam. She is Swami Sitaramananda’s personal assistant at the ashram in Vietnam.  She was a staff at the Dalat ashram from the very beginning. She is in charge of the coordination of many of the programs at the ashram. She graduated from the SYHET program in Jan. 2022 and is a certified IAYT. She enjoys teaching beginner courses, kids yoga, and hatha yoga.
